Data integration on the Web is now strongly focused on Linked Data Technologies, so to fully exploit the semantic potential of structured data.

Thanks to the expertise gained in the European research project LarKC, CEFRIEL has developed a demonstrator  integrating data related to the Olympic Games 2010. Through this advanced search service, CEFRIEL proposes an innovative approach to data integration: independent sources of different data (athletes and games, sports facilities and resorts, pictures and articles) are aggregated thanks to Linked Data technologies. “Static” data are merged with “streaming” data (photos taken by spectators, fans’ tweets, online newspaper articles), which are constantly updated and made available to users through a direct and user-friendly interface.
